Discover the waters of Norway’s fjords, home to orcas and whales that gather here each year to feed on abundant schools of herring. Starting from the charming city of Tromsø, we will travel toward Skjervøy for a truly unique adventure alongside these majestic creatures, from the warmth of a comfortable, heated boat, under the guidance of an expert captain and a passionate naturalist. In the afternoon and evening, you’ll have the opportunity to venture out on a snowshoe excursion, a short hike, or simply watch the shimmering colors of the aurora borealis, if conditions are favorable.
Day 1 — Arrival in Tromsø and transfer to Skjervøy
Arrival at Tromsø Airport and meeting with your guide. Private transfer by minivan to Skjervøy. Check-in at the Hotel, welcome dinner, and briefing on the activities ahead.
Days 2–4 — Whale-watching by boat
After Breakfast, each morning, after a short briefing by your guide, reflecting the most recent whale and orca sightings, we will set out by boat, a heated and comfortable boat, for a whale-watching tour of approximately 3 hours. We’ll search for orcas, humpback whales, and other species that inhabit these waters, a unique opportunity for observation, photography, and awe.
Return to Skjervøy for lunches. Free afternoon for optional activities: snowshoeing, photo walks, or simply resting in your guesthouse. Dinner at the hotel. During the afternoon of day 4 we will return to Tromsø for last dinner and overnight before departure.
Day 5 — Departure from Tromsø
After breakfast private transfer back to Tromsø Airport for departure.
